This past spring our great city of Seattle sponsored an event called the “Seeds of Compassion” put on by inviting the Dali Lama to share words of Wisdom and Enlightenment in a three day seminar which found 1000’s coming out to hear him wax eloquent. I stirred the ire of some friends and relatives by wondering aloud If “compassion is all we need”. I was concerned that compassion might, if not tempered by other virtues – courage, say –ill equip our children for the challenges of life.

Since then I’ve been thinking, should some high-tech billionaire offer me big bucks to stage a similar event on a needed virtue, just what would I choose? My Answer: INTEGRITY.

What is INTEGRITY? Dictionaries define it as “the state of being whole, unimpaired ,sound.”
A good analogy might be that of a Door. Some are hollow-core. When you knock on them there’s a hollow sound because there’s nothing inside. Other doors when knocked upon, sound solid because there’s something inside. The inside and outside in these doors are connected and whole. The solid sound indicates integrity ,soundness, wholeness.

People aren’t as simple as doors, and yet people who possess integrity have something solid inside. Their insides and outsides are one piece. What you see is what you get.

Today, August 7th 2008 I am afraid we are in grave danger of losing this precious virtue of Integrity. I could elaborate on many reasons I feel this is happening , but here are three of the most prevalent in today’s Society.

1.) The “Quick Fix” Mentality – Unlike the brainwash of the ‘Plug in Drug’ that tells us life’s most pressing problems can be solved in the space of a 30 minute sitcom the reality is that ‘Fixes’ in Life may take months or even years to solve. Or even as The story of ‘Humpty Dumpty’ shows us the situation may never be able to completely be put back in order again.

2.) The Image- Driven society that tells us ‘Everything is about Perception’. Or ‘Perception is Reality.’ This is another way of saying it’s not what’s on the inside ,but only what’s on the outside, that matters. Life becomes nothing more than ‘Impression Management.’

3.) Entitlement—I am afraid, in our culture today this is a biggie! This can also be synonyms to ‘the victim mentality’. In some circles today you get the moral high ground by alleging your ‘victim’ status. But this all depends on finding someone else to blame because your life isn’t as you wish. Integrity on the other hand invoves taking responsibility for yourself.

Today I have put forth what I believe to be a good argument for the search and preservation of a key virtue—Integrity.
Tomorrow we will conclude with my ‘Top 10’ Qualities of an individual who possesses Integrity

If Your going to get anywhere in business or Life, at some point you have to decide just what the hell you and your business is all about, and JUST DO IT!

I saw Kung Fu Panda with my granddaughter and it really had some great moral insight. As a follower and believer of the Law of Attraction I had several connections with quotes sprinkled throughout the movie.

The basic point of the movie was a noodle selling Panda who wanted to be a Kung Fu Master. He dreamed about it, imagined it, yet did not 'believe' in himself as a fat, clumsy bear.

Within the movie is a 'Dragon Scroll' with the secrets to all powers and a 'secret ingredent' in a noodle recipe... You soon realize both are one in the same being 'nothing, everything and self'. Just 'The Secret' and other Law of Attraction books, movies share... It is nothing external, it is YOU.

I do NOT think that belief in the self is over-rated at all because I have worked with hundreds of people and every single one of them who had doubts, in them selves, have failed.

Those who believed they could do it, were successful.

The only ones who say it's over-rated are those whom have not conceptualized the reality of believing in the self. They are the ones who ask but don't receive because they cannot 100% 'believe'.

The key is realizing there is no actual 'secret' and that we all have the same tools for success. The only thing that can stop YOU from success is YOU. Which is exactly what the movie focuses on. Mind over matter you can become whatever you want to be by believing in yourself.

The wise turtle in the movie had many great thoughts one of them my favorite... "Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery, today is a gift - that's why they call it the present'.

Don't dwell in the past. Don't worry about the future. DO for TODAY and yes, Yes, YES - BELIEVE in YOURSELF because if you don't who else will?

I don't really read the Daily Rag (Thats newspaper for all you non-newspaper types) much anymore these days(I just feel it to be a waste of my precious time & it usually is a 'downer' anyway).But I just could not resist the article on the Front page when I opened our local paper this morning.

WOW!!Here was the sad story of a 51 year young woman who had risen to the heights of a prestigous & well-paying career as a Commercial Pilot. She had climbed (& it seemed scratched) her way to the top of a profession dominated & favored towards men. Rosemary seemed to have it all,,,100K income, Water-Front Home, A gig (flying) doing what she was PASSIONATE about ( as explained when she 'found' flying in her 20's), A couple fancy Vehicles,& plenty of money in the bank. Yet sadly her life came 'crashing down out of the friendly skies.'

The bullet points at the top of the article really caught my eye!

** Lost Her House
** Lost Her job
** Slept In Homeless Shelters
** Dead at age 51

As I began to read through the article and learn of her rise to Significance and then sad spiral that led to her eventually being run over by a train as she appeared to have been sleeping on the tracks in a drunken stupor, I could not help but wonder "Just what the He** Happened!!" I know the simple answer was she had become an Alcoholic as well as Meth addict and could no longer help herself or even be helped by friends and loved ones and at first gradually but then quite swiftly she lost everything she had worked so hard to achieve over 20+ years.

I was actually angry about Rosemary's plight & found myself more than once muttering to myself 'How Could You Throw It all away!"..."Why in God's Name, didn't you get any Help" As I read on I found myself wishing I could have been there & met Rosemary, & spoken to her ...and SHAKEN some sense into her!Perhaps I could have been a difference- maker for her!

Yet, sadly in the end I know The TRUTH. The Fact is no matter how much her Mother, Brother, friends or associates wanted Peace, Joy & true Fulfillment for Rosemary they could never make it happen for her!Only Rosemary could determine and then CHOOSE/NOT CHOOSE to live a Fulfilling life for herself---It was her choice alone,no one else could do or make it for her (Not even GOD!)

The same is true for each of us. We must all define Our own Passion(s) & ideas for success in Life, then pursue it, tightly grasp it(& determine to NEVER LET IT GO!!). We must acknowledge our own vices & weaknesses that would seek to take us down & NEVER allow our ego to stand in the way of seeking out help when we may need it so we can continue on our journey to abundance.

This has been a sobering story for me. It shows me both how POWERFUL I can be & yet How frail I can also be at times.It also is a 'wake-up Call' for me letting me know I alone am ACCOUNTABLE for the life I CHOOSE to pursue and Live.

Perhaps one moral of Rosemarys' story is to realize "But, for the Grace of God, There goes I".I pray that God gives us each Strength and courage to Live a Life of Meaning and Purpose that we choose.

You may recall the last time I posted here I began to share about "The Number One Law of Attraction" or what some may call The Number One Law of BEING",,,that is, "To Become a LAW unto Yourself" (ie...see Bono, Jagger, Stalone,Oprah,,,,)You get the Picture?

Each one of us were created by the infinite Creator with this kind of CAPACITY, yet sadly few develop this skill, or mind-set. As Ralph Waldo Emerson has said " Most Men live lives of quiet desperation".

I am here today to DECLARE to the world that YOU & I Can BE ALL THAT WE WERE MEANT TO BE!!!!!!The only one who can stop you, is YOU! As I recorded last time folks who have mastered this 'skill-set' have an intensified Personality,,,they have a 'Can-DO!" Mind-set, They WILL NOT be denied!

So with the above in mind today we will discuss a vital 'subset' quality to this Number One Law of Being and that I have called "Unleashing Yourself". As I get into this topic , for me the example of my Frisky,unabashed 3 year-old Mini-Schnauzer getting 'LOOSE' from his leash comes to mind. I can picture 'Tyson' getting loose (as he has done many times before) running about the neighborhood jumping up on folks, crying for joy around folks, Wagging his tail in sheer doggie joy and ecstasy of wanting to show love as well as be loved(of course not all folks are accepting of this overwhelming display of affection!) . From that example I believe you can grasp the essence of "UNLEASHING".

Basically, 'Unleashing Yourself Upon the World" is YOU being committed (no matter What others say or the circumstanes in your current Life) TO BEING YOUR OWN PERSON! (Period over & Out!!!) . Just as my Doggie(Tyson) is sold -out on the idea that EVERYONE would love him, these folks (again see Winfrey, Bono etc,,,etc,,,)are sold-out on their OWN SELF-LOVE! and therefore(See 'Tyson' story)they PRESS their own INDIVIDUALITY into all mankind.

This attribute is much bigger than just being yourself. It is an ACTIVE FORCE through which you MULTIPLY your 'I AM' into others so that they in turn are inspired as well. People who have aquired this unique ability have attained Power & Influence(See 'Obama').

These are folks who have FIRST FOCUSED upon THEMSELVES. It is interesting to me to note here many of us have been taught the opposite of this(that is to LOVE others 1st) & yet Jesus Himself said "Love Your Neighbor as Yourself"(Mark 12:31). In other words I can be of no service or use to others unless & until I have "LOVED MYSELF FIRST!" From this 'Self-Focus' can then flow an INDIVIDUALITY & Servitude that will make the common man turn his head in wonder & awe and take notice.

I have 'waxed on' far too long today! I will leave you to ponder this 'message' & encourage you to give yourself permission to "LET YOURSELF GO,,,Become UNLEASHED upon the World around you!" and you will have made it a better place.

THE SKY'S THE LIMIT

Have you ever given thought to the phrase, “the sky's the limit!”? Honestly, I never had until this morning. On my daily walk with my dog I speak with my Infinite partner, the Universal Source ( or God). He truly directs my paths and instructs me daily on how I should run His business through my life. Today he spoke to me “ the sky's the limit”. I took it, digested it, and basked in it's revelation. The sky is so much like God in His spiritual form .....

LIMITLESS!!

Have you ever physically touched the sky? Does anyone know where the sky begins or ends? My success, my finances, and my life are limitless. If I were to stack my many successes, my abundance, and my blessings to reach the top of the sky I would be stacking for Eternity. These assets in my Life are limitless!

Sky does not stop for obstacles that are more tangible than itself ( planes, birds, stars, planets) and neither shall I. As the sky recognizes obstacles, it is enhanced by them ( the sky is most beautiful with clouds, birds, planets, stars). My life is the same. My success is enhanced with every obstacle because I live above the “horizon”. I learn from obstacles instead of casting blame on the easiest target ( usually myself). My revelation “the sky's the limit” increases momentum in my life and in the talents which I have been given.

Next time you are “stuck”, remember the sky's the limit. It works both ways. You decide today if you want a bright beautiful sky or a stormy gloomy sky.

“The Number One Law of Being”(ie. “To Become a LAW unto Yourself”)

Successful folks have an Intensified Focus & Personality…they have become “A LAW unto Themselves.” These individuals practice the “Number One LAW of BEING.”

NOTHING else will work,,,,,Self-help,Affirmations,Mantras,Trying to manifest ,etc,,etc,,….Until You DECIDE TO BECOME A LAW UNTO YOURSELF!

And What ‘Traits’ Do these Individuals Possess……..?

*These folks daily live lives that GIVE EVIDENCE of what they believe…they are uncommon ‘doers’(THINK: Bono, Jagger, Socrates, Ceasar ,Oprah, Bill Gates, Trump… just to mention a few among many).

*These folks know how to ‘Fight for their Focus or Focus into AGONY’ To accomplish their goal.

*These folks Have PRESSED their DESIRE into their SUPPLY(The Infinite Universe provided by the CREATOR for their Provision).

* These folks let NOT a person, circumstance, or Lack of Proof STEAL their DESIRE.
* These Folks have ‘shed’ the Losers from their lives
* These Folks live “The # One Law of Being” as a Way of LIFE or ‘LIFESTYLE’….not just as a temporary ‘thing/fad.’

* These Folks ALWAYS KNOW ‘SMARTER’ Exists,,,,they are always open to & for ‘MORE.’
* These Folks APPLY ‘THE LAW’ …it is not just Rethoric.
* These Folks ‘Do The Do!’

Three MOVIES that ‘Model’ ‘The Law’……

Crash—Braveheart---Gladiator are movies that all encapsulate Exercising & BEING that # 1 Law unto Yourself.

WHY!?...........

Because these movies are a REFLECTION INTO the HEARTS of mankind to that which all men SEEK & DREAM to one day BECOME…That is to become an EXTENSION of ALL that each individual person IS & are meant to BE(ie…THEIR God –Given Mission & Calling). That These persons KNOW they have actually come to such a point of AUTHENTICITY as to WHO they ARE that they would be willing to Stare Death down in order to REMAIN TRUE to WHO THEY ARE . These movies ASK & CHALLENGE each of us , crying out to each of us,,, “Am I even half the man/woman that the heroes in these movies are!” . They woo our VERY DNA to BECOME as These Heroes.

Your mind can be likened to a radio receiver. Your decision maker is the 'tuner dial'. You can tune in to any frequency you choose to. The other day as I was busily running errands, about halfway through my trip I realized I was irrated, & then it dawned on me that the radio station I was tuned to was playing music that to me, was anything but calming & soothing. I immediately tuned the station to my favorite station that always has what I consider good music. Sure enough there was soft,quiet, soothing & uplifting music.And when I got the station tuned in , my mood was lifted.

All around us there are negative things as well as positive things. Somewhere right in the middle of your mind , you have a tuning dial, & you CHOOSE whether to tune in the negative or the positive. If you tune in the negative , you will find yourself cast down and at a loss for energy. On the other hand, if you tune in the positive to dwell on what is good, positive, & right your spirit will be lifted & you will be energized!....Proverbs tells us "As a man THINKETH in his heart so is He."

So Give Yourself a Positive Lift:

**Be Grateful for what you have...do not focus on your lack
**Focus on What you can do, Not on what you have no control over
**Focus on The Good in your life,Not the difficulties or bad
**Focus on What you can GIVE to others, Not what you wish they would give to you

Over the years I have been very interested in what ‘success’ means & how to attain it. I have been fascinated with the lives of successful people like Lincoln, Henry Ford, Ghandi, Martin Luther King, John Kennedy, Winston Churchill & many, many others throughout History studying & meditating on how they “made it.”

It seems to me all the Great & successful men & women in the world applied the same basic set of principles regardless of their environment, backround, skills, or color and just like the set of numbers to a combination lock when they had the correct ‘code’ & ‘spun’ ( applied action) the lock opened every time.

I believe the Infinite Creator has given each of us the same capability for success all we must do is find the ‘code’ apply it with action and we can have success every time as well.
Here I believe is some of the ‘code’ to success you & I can apply.

The ‘Code’
1) Success is a path of personal choice that never ends. Success is a journey or process toward ones personal Vision, Purpose & Dream.(No one can define sucess for YOU---You must define it for yourself!)
2) Success is not determined by circumstances, environment, or skills
3) Success is always accomplished by doing certain things a certain way
4) Success is never based on looking at your past, but only by FOCUSING on your Future.
a.) Look away from your current results
b.) Do not rely on your 5 senses (taste, touch, smell ,sight, hear)…Have FAITH!
c.) Do not keep doing as you have always done!(or you will have more of the same)
d.) Quit looking at your CURRENT Results to make future decisions
e.) FOCUS on what you WANT …NOT on what you do not want!
f.) Get Crystal Clear on what you want,,,,Write your future story encompassing all the 5 senses of what your life will be like on a daily basis for you in 5-10-20 years…be as vivid & detailed as possible.
5) Success is a PROCESS not a Goal or one time event.
6) As Earl Nightingale said “Success is a Progressive Realization of a Worthy Ideal”
a.) Progressive Realization = an ever increasing, an ever growing or unfolding(ie. An Awareness) a wisdom
b.) And what is “Wisdom”? = Information that is organized, aligned & acted upon according to Universal Laws or PRINCIPLES
7) Success Is Acting Wisely (see point #6)…as Joe Schroeder has said “Successful folks FIRST have a Successful Thought.”
8) Success is having a Vision & Dream that you are PASSIONATE about!

9) Success Is Having a WORTHY Vision or Dream
a) To have a worthy vision or dream we must KNOW that we as individuals are worthy
b) Since we come from the infinite Creator that makes us worthy!(Like Father Like Son or Daughter)
c) Dream or Vision are the same as ‘Desire’ ,,,Desire comes from Da—Sire(latin for ‘Of the Father’) realize it is GOD who has Given & Authored your desire or Dream & He would not give you a DESIRE OR DREAM that you could not fulfill!!
10) Success is realizing God’s greatest GIFT to you is your unlimited Potential & Your Greatest GIFT To God & the world is to LIVE UP TO THAT POTENTIAL.

Hello! Thank you for visiting my introduction post and for wanting to learn a little bit about me. I was born in Torrance California, I now enjoy the pleasure of living in a small town situated in the country, Burns Tennessee(USA), about 45 minutes west of Nashville Tennessee. I'm married to my high school love, Scott. Yes, love at first sight is as real as you believe it to be. We are blessed with our children Jesyka, Cory, and Zackary and grandchildren Ana and Colton. I enjoy many things, but at the top of my list: reading a good book, relaxing in the company of loved ones, hiking the beautiful state parks of Tennessee, and exploring direction to help those in need of guidance and friendship. For my last vacation, I joined family and friend exploring a variety of local landmarks known for their history as haunted or unique. As a group we enjoyed energy of feeling folklore become reality. Goals and ambitions are motivating and important in a person's life. I have a goal to establish a non profit organization for the support and education of individuals experiencing the chronic brain abnormality ,FNPH. I have continued my success in creative writing. I've been fortunate to accomplish many things in my life. But my biggest accomplishment: overcoming fear in order to reach success. I have meet with Ivanka Trump and her staff and Ted Turner and his staff in discussion of the sale of land in Tennessee. I'm having the time of my life right now by living my dream of owning my own business. It has given me opportunity and confidence to meet and exceed all my goals, purpose to take action daily, flexibility to spend time with loved ones, and focus to improve my health and wealth. I hope that gives you some insight into who I am.
